Located in the heart of the Luxembourg Ardennes, Destination Clervaux, has long been considered the "insiders' tip" for mountain bikers. This MTB reputation has now extended beyond the Grand Duchy’s borders due to the rich and diverse topography of the Clervaux region. The marked MTB trails leading through mountains and valleys are a challenge for those wishing to explore the region away from busy roads.
Marked mountain bike trails
Comprising more than 350 km, 16 marked MTB trails lead you through dramatic hills and valleys, with their vistas of imposing castles and sweeping panorama highlights. Clervaux' mountain bike trails are characterized by special signage which differs from conventional biking paths. Some of these routes require peak physical conditioning, while others are suitable for trips with the whole family. Our “Outdoor Agent” is also happily available to offer guided hikes and extensive mountain biking.
MTB and relaxing
After an exciting day of mountain biking, there can be nothing better than to enjoy a meal to regain one‘s strength or to wellness with a little relaxation. Accommodation suitable for mountain bikes and bicycles in Destination Clervaux are ideal for this purpose. You will easily recognize the label "bed + bike". These hotels give the opportunity to book packages including MTB trails that are expertly guided by locals. Traveling without your own mountain bike? Mountain bikes are readily available for hire.
WebGIS: Interactive biking map
The WebGIS interactive biking map of the Natural Park of the Our allows any nature lover to optimally prepare his personal journey. The map includes all the necessary information about 24 trails of varying difficulty, selected in the region. Views, rest areas, etc.., are shown on the map, as well as an MSDS for each course. Friends of the GPS will be able to download the tracks in different formats.
If you’re seeking more 'conventional' biking trails, each course is available as PDF print out through a free download. This PDF also includes a detailed map and useful information on the chosen route (including the description, profile height, length and time of the tour). In addition, Google Earth gives you the bird’s eye view with the virtual tour! The use of WebGIS map device is available for rent at the Info Tourism Point in Clervaux.
